Shaped by Hand, Made to Last: Celebrating Singapore Clay Festival 2025

This November, something we love deeply is being celebrated, not just clay, but everything that comes with it: slowness, story, and the simple joy of making with our hands.

The Singapore Clay Festival 2025 is a gathering of people who believe that craft still matters. That the things we use every day, a mug, a bowl, a plate, deserve to be beautiful, intentional, and made with care.

That belief is at the heart of what we do here as well.

Celebrate Art

Our pieces are never rushed. They’re not mass-produced. Every form is shaped on the wheel by hand, glazed with care, and fired in small batches. We don’t aim for perfect symmetry or factory shine. In fact, we celebrate the opposite.

Wabi-sabi — the quiet Japanese philosophy of finding beauty in imperfection- runs through everything we make. That slight dip in a rim, a glaze that drips slightly off-centre, the way two bowls from the same batch still feel a little different when you hold them?

That’s the point. That’s the magic.

Appreciating the Beauty of Clay

The Singapore Clay Festival brings together makers, collectors, and curious souls who see clay not just as a material, but as a connection to the earth, to history, and to one another.

This year’s festival also shines a light on heritage and sustainability. Themes that speak deeply to us. Clay has been used for thousands of years, and when treated with respect, it lasts a lifetime. Our stoneware pieces are designed for use, time and again. For slow breakfasts. Late-night tea. Shared meals. Quiet rituals.

We are especially excited about the Clay Makers’ Market and exhibitions that celebrate the beauty of the handmade. Soak in inspiration, meeting fellow makers, and supporting the craft community we’re proud to be part of.

Support The Artists!

If you’re planning to visit, we hope you take your time. Run your hands over a textured surface. Notice how every piece feels just a little bit alive. Talk to the artists. Ask about their process.

Let yourself be reminded of how much love goes into the things made by hand. And if you bring something home, from us (online) or another maker, know this: it was shaped with care, made to last, and meant to be used in real, messy, beautiful life.
